Woh, he just left? You would think after killing someone you would stay to explain it. Not the wild west.

I don't know all the details, but it sounded like it. Hopefully he didn't.

It's sad and sickening to live in woke liberal areas where a criminal can assault an elderly working man like that and the victim gets charged
America is like two different countries one where it's almost encouraged to play stupid games, because the stupid game players (cough cough criminals ) are protected more then victims ... The other where if you play stupid games you win the stupid prize- Guess which one I prefer lol

Second degree murder charges against the NYC bodega owner who stabbed the robber were dropped. The mayor, judge, and eventually the DA all came to their liberal senses.

This isn't petty theft, it's armed robbery. They already are not taking the path of least resistance.

This one is gonna be tricky. The gun being fake is meaningless, it seemed very real in the moment and should have been treated as such.

He was 100% justified in shooting the criminal. Afterwards the criminal was down and the gun wasn't in his hand and he shot him some more, probably a bit much but I'd allow it in the heat of the moment

After that he went and grabbed the gun, then proceeded to execute the incapacitated and unarmed criminal at point blank range. I know people really have a hard on for wild west justice, but that's pretty hard for me to justify.

I doubt this guy will report to the police voluntarily. There is probably more than one reason he didn't wait for the police.

Just a guess, this might not have been the first time this man killed someone.

The way he went in for the final shot...

Is the entire video now available including the final point blank execution?

I was wondering how the bullet holes got so low on the door at first and then realized how he shot the robber nine times including while he was down before the Good Samaritan fled the scene.

doesn’t seem like a very safe neighborhood

I haven’t seen the whole video but from what I’m hearing I think the shooter is legally in trouble. The general principle in self-defense is that you can act in proportion to a threat but once that threat is stopped you can’t continue to act.

For example as a martial artist if someone were to attack me with a knife and I render them unconscious I can’t just keep on choking him until I kill him or take the knife and stab him. A knife is a lethal threat and in the moment to stop it I can use lethal force. If I happen to stop the threat but haven’t killed them in that moment I can’t then proceed to kill them.

From my understanding of this situation is that initially shooting the robber is legal under Texas law as Texas law allows lethal defense of oneself, others and property. Once the robber is down and especially after being disarmed then it becomes excessive use of force. So after the shooter takes the robber’s weapon away and then shoots him again that is where it really gets problematic.
