I like Morrison, but is he really better as a junior than Carmello was as a fresh? Maybe a little better shooter from distance (Morrisons clip is better than JJ Redicks at 3), but Melo was better in other respects.

Still, comparing Morrison to Bird is a heck of lot better than comparing Mike Dunleavy 2 to Bird as they guys on NBAdraft did a few years ago. Morrison can create for himself or work off others.

I think Morrison is probably worth a top 5 pick.

maybe he should learn how to play D if he hates losing so much.

i think morrison can be a solid NBA player but that guy has no desire to play defense at all. it is funny the contrast between him on offense and defense. when the zags game was on i would just watch morrison and how he played off the ball on D and he is horrible. he just stands around like a lost child. but on offense the guy is running around trying as hard as he can to get free and get the ball. i think the most irritating thing is when he gets lucky and a rebound pops into his hands he acts all bad ass like no one will get the ball from him.

everyone compares him to Larry Bird but i see him as a poor shooting Wally Sczerbiack, with more intensity.

Truth of the matter is with JJ and Adam they are a dying breed of American White basketball stars and people want to push so hard for them to succeed but a player like Pittsnoogle might have a longer career in the NBA. Josh McRoberts is a better pro prospect than either of them, he has not only the size but the athleticism.

wow...i don't get that. JJ and Adam aren't of the same breed. their games are entirely different. the only similarity is that they're white and are better offensive players than defensive players.

I don't see the big deal with him defensively, you guys act like everyone on the floor has to be a great defender, with a good team defense one player's defensive defeciencies can be masked. I also didn't see UCLA try and attack him over and over again, why didn't they if he's such a horrible defender? I think he's fine as a rebounder, so he has that at least, and he can become an ok defender if he's willing to work on it or maybe it's just an issue with effort.

Both have below average NBA athleticism, morrison can't get his own shot off nearly as well as Reddick, and at 6'8 he is used to his height creating shots, but that wont exsist in the league. I see Morrison as a bust and Reddick as a Jon Barry type shooter off the bench.

wait...you think reddick gets his own shot better than morrison?? were we watching the same guys? you know reddick is the one who plays for duke, right?

i'm not trying to be a jackass...it just seems to me these are very different players. morrison is a scorer...reddick is a shooter.

Agreed. JJ runs of screens all day for Duke, he can't get his own shot up. His mid-range game has improved the last two years, but still no where near AM's imo.

To be fair, he might be viewing them as I do:
Redick gets wide open shots by running through screens (which worked out pretty well for Rip and Reggie).
Morrison takes crowded shots in traffic and never seems to get himself open or create spacing from his man.

JJ could probably continue to get shots this way in the NBA, while Morrison is going to get owned if he can't do better.

If an unathletic guy like Jason Kapono can stay in the NBA for as long as he has, I'm sure guys like Morrison and Reddick can hold their own in the NBA just as long as they don't think they're the first option or anything. :D

I like Morrison's fire and think he'll be a borderline all star player in the league but...

There's no crying in college basketball Adam!!

Dude must have went to the movies and saw V for vagina

I saw a mock draft having the Hawks select Morrison.

He'll be crying midway through the first quarter of every game for the next 3 years.

He'll be the first player to be put on IR for "Chronic Inflamation of the Tear Ducts".

I like his intensity, his heart and his hair. however, i don't think he will be a good pro player, he will be no more than a shooter. His lacking of athletism really gonna hurt him if he enter pro.

For now, I'll say he is a top 5 pick.

The biggest key for most players in the individual workouts.

Just like the NFL, the NBA values individual workouts a whole lot because it gives coaches and GMs first hand look at the players they have rated enough to draft them.

It is not as easy to tell how certain players will translate. Skip Bayless is not authority on this issue and I'd be more comfortable taking into account the science of Braintyping than folks like Skip and Dicky V.

For now, Adam is a scorer like Peja - not a pure playermaker who necessarily gets lots of assist and make his team mates better in the act like Bird was.

P.S. I hope his diabetic state does not affect his draft rating.

Im not impressed with him. Defense is half of the game, Morrison on D = Rybo on O!

Morrison looks like p*rn star. For that reason alone i say we leave him alone. who knows what kind of pineapples he's got goin' on!

We should play it (sort of) safe and go for a hard nosed guy (s. williams please, the rocks need to draft more Dukies ;) )

Right now is a real tough time to be a fan. Its never good to sit and watch on, hoping we lose games (especially when we win them) and waiting for the start of next season ... how long will the next 7 months seem. At least most of it will be summer for you guys in the States, its getting bloody cold here, and will be so until at least September!

Dammit , im so depressed....no wait im freakin mad
