i'm going home, thanks. I won't be addressing pertinant items when I get there, because its pointless, the texans were the worst team last season, that's why derrick mason for instance had more catches, not to mention he played in more games. there's all kind of ways to take this. I never even really wanted to get into this, I also thought carr played well sunday.

Yep. A simple, "oh, I get it now. Thanks, guys," would do. :D

Muhsin Muhammad played for a team that had worse offensive passing numbers than the Texans last year...yet he managed 64 catches for 750 yards and 4 TDs...all better than Andre Johnson. Granted, Muhammad played 2 more games than AJ, but the differences arent that much...specially when Muhammad played on a team with a more stagnant passing game.

So would I be that far off in saying that Muhsin Muhammad is a better receiver than AJ?

We can check out 2004 as well...the Panthers only averaged about 20 more yards in the air per game than the Texans.

Muhammad had 93 catches for 1400 yards and 16 TDs.
AJ had 79 catches for 1142 yards and 6 TDs.

Therefore, I could really argue that Muhammad is a better receiver than AJ. Funny thing is that I didnt even put Muhsin in my original list of 15 or so WR.

Maybe you should stick to your Duke basketball player and leave football alone, you obviously don't have a clue. Peyton Manning goes back to pass and has a 1/2 hour to make a decision on most of his pass plays. He normally has more time to throw per pass than Carr has cumulatively throughout a game. Please, STOP THE MADNESS.

    Passer rating:

    Carr - 102.1
    Manning - 78.9

    TD Passes:

    Carr - 1
    Manning -1

    Interceptions:

    Carr - 0
    Manning - 1

    Time of possesion:

Texans - 27:09 NFL Rank - 26th (last weeks opposition PHI is #1)
    Colts - 32:46 NFL Rank - 10th

I know it is only 1 game, but both went up against very good defenses.

In the last couple of years there have been games that the Texans won, but Carr may not have looked stellar... and he was still crucified.

You can't have it both ways...

In those cases, does it mean he inspired his teammates to step up their games?

DaDakota doesn't like David Carr, as evidenced by his 51 posts (seriously, do a search) telling us all about it in several Texan threads since Sunday. He can't reallly quantify why he doesn't like him, and when he tries, his bizarre and senseless reasons get torn apart by other posters, specifically Ric.

For someone who claims to not care about the Texans (remember the 72 posts he made telling us that during the offseason?), he sure does post a lot about them. He posts about them around 4 times as much as I do, and I LOVE the Texans.

A fair point, I do not like Carr, and I WANT to like the Texans, they just make it hard.

Come on, now this is getting ridiculous.....all that matters is the team winning, PERIOD.

The rest is just opinionated BS on a BBS.

ALL opinions are BS. If you don't think you've ever spewed opinionated BS on an Internet BBS, you are sadly misled. *All* of us have. In fact, it is very possible that your opinion on this very subject has no more grounds than anyone else's.
