The Feds are partially to blame. Authoritarian Chinese Communist tactics being used was only going to have one result. Now we are seeing that result. And that is what the protesters in Portland are saying. In both cases I’ve poked about the dangers of escalation on both sides. I’ve also spoken about that we should respect the rule of law. In HK it’s the Basic Law that gave HK self determination. In the US it’s the Constitution and the principle of Federalism. Only one of us here is arguing for undermining th rule of law to stop protests.
