According to the Huffington Post, Laura Bush is on campus and George and Barbara Bush were supposed to show up today as well.

Fine i didn't know that i thought it was becuse of that thread where 00rocketgirl is seen everywhere, I'm sorry Kam im just a little worried cuz i cannot get a hold of some of my friends. Sorry for calling you an *******. And a dick, i really am.

 

My roommate is on campus and in lockdown. Not sure what is going on.

It's so weird. I'm posted up in the library and as I look out the window, it just looks like a normal day. There were 2 officers that came through and searched each floor though.

From what i've heard, he was spotted both on main campus and west campus carrying an AK. But... I've heard nothing about him being detained.

 

Looking at twitter, there seems to be confusion as to whether the person detained was the suspected gunmen or the person who made the call to report the suspect.

Update: Gun 'suspect' is member of Texas A&M Corps of Cadets (similar to ROTC) who was walking with his rifle - NBC

The only thing I've heard was somebody asking if he needed to go to Northgate and the response was "that's a negative."

I thought about this when I first read it. Chances are if the guy has on an Corps uniform he's not going to shoot up the campus.

These guys will sometimes lay in a circle and aim at a metal barrel with their toy guns for some kind of drill or exercise, but I don't recall seeing them use fake AK 47s before, or wearing shorts.
