Meh. Rockets have shown a willingness to listen to/make offers for any of our valuable pieces (minus Yao). Hence, whether we "tank" or not depends on the sweetness factor of the offers themselves, which is not exactly a diehard stance to be a winning team this year IMHO :)

True, but I see it as, even if they trade a Battier or Scola or Brooks or whoever, that doesnt necessarily mean tanking to me. And I dont think we'll be a winning team, but that doesnt mean we're not going to try or compete. But just my .02

It's not just some douche's twitter account, it's some douche who works for or is one of the hosts of a sports talk show on ESPN radio in Chicago, a show where people introduce themselves as "It's ya boy etc etc".

They're just mad that Boozer isn't coming to the Bulls and blame the Rockets for not wanting any part of this stupid proposal. I mean seriously, Landry and Battier for Tyrus Thomas and some center?

Lets put a disclaimer here that this twitter is run by

Leon Rogers, Stephen Bardo and Scoop Jackson

Take what these people say with a huge grain of salt.

I actually find it pretty damn amusing that these guys assume that our dismissal of that pathetic proposal is rooted solely in a refrain from rebuilding.

Rafer Alston. I mean people have suggested for the longest time that we trade him for a bag of chips, and I do believe that laundry is more valuable than chips. In fact, if it's dirty laundry there may be some chips in it as well.

If Morey admitted they were reluctantly rebuilding, it would only lead to general managers making low ball offers for our players. Plus there are other reasons to put on a brave face, which should be self evident to anyone who thinks about it.
