Maybe. Adults have identified themselves as animals. Some even as inanimate objects. Rare, but it happens.

None of that means we suddenly give up on laws disallowing sexual relationships with minors (or whatever other established laws).

Talking about child relationships - there is a problem today. You might not know this, but there are some lawful exceptions to sexual relationships with minors. 25 States allow child marriage. The highest rate of child marriage is in Kentucky. Some in the evangelical communities push for child marriage to be kept legal. This is a real problem that people don't seem to care much about but yet people want to care about some adult potentially claiming themselves as a child to enable child relationships. One is an ongoing issue today and the other is not ever going to be a real problem.

 

If you do not see the slippery slop argument while replying to a thread about a mentally ill man pretending to be a woman who later decided to pretend he is disabled then I cannot help you. There are just way too many leaves in the way keeping you from seeing the trees.

There is no slippery slope. This story has zero effect on you. This issue will never ever affect you in the future.

 

Pretty sure in the US, claiming to be disabled and enjoying the legal rights and legal welfare would be considered fraud.
