Not sure, maybe Morey likes him or sees something in him? Maybe he sees him as an asset for a future deal? Who knows. Maybe Morey has no interest in Douglas at all. I can't really tell you what Morey is thinking, because I myself have no idea. It was only reported he'd want Hill or Douglas, maybe both? Could be all rumor/speculation, or maybe it's true.

 

The Rockets under Darrel Morey is like a LOST episode, you have absolutely no idea of what is about to happen next.

translation : he wants to play in NY. I know alot of people are going to say "tmac cant make trade demands" "morey is in charge" , but can Morey really tell Tmac what to do?

You have to remember that Tmac once threatened retirement , and he nixed the trade last year to the Nets we had in line. Tmac while not in the same stature as Kobe , can still "call the shots". He makes so much money, lets say the wizards offered us Butler,and Tmac's agent tells wizards he will not play for them, then what? The wizards back out thats what and Morey is screwed.

I know alot of fans think "teams only want tmac for his expiring". Thats not true, some teams know he still has some left in the tank. He is only like 29,healed,showed flashes in his 7 minutes, we are not getting Gallanari,Lee, the best we can hope for is HIll or Nate.

Why not just let him expire instead of ruin our cap next year by taking Ny's trash? If he refuses a buyout,and we are over the tax, trade someone else because taking on Jefferies or Curry will RUIN US.

do you know about HIll? i dont know him at all. can he play center or just pf? if all he is a pf then what do we do with scola or landry?

did he play with cbud? do you think maybe cbud is saying good things about him?

 

what worries me is that Hill cant move ahead of Landrys brother for playing time. If we get douglas or nate what do we do with lowry? Hill looks fantastic on youtube highlights,but yet gets no playing time.

 

Morey told T-Mac to ride pine. T-Mac hasn't played more than 10 minutes all season. Morey is going in a different direction than T-Mac. T-Mac hasn't been able to anything about it.

 

thats why i think it would have been better to play tmac the minutes he wanted, and then trade his arse at the deadline when his stock would be higher.

if you let tmac play, he doesnt whine, but as soon as we forced him to 7 minutes, he (depending on who you believe) left the team. Tmac might know that we arent going to marbury him. I say that because as soon as you marbury a player,the rest of the league takes notice and you scare away potential future FA's.

we cant buy him out without his consent, we arent going to marbury him to cause a bad reputation for us, we HAVE to trade him ,and if other teams dont like the deals, we are FORCED to take Ny's crap.

Look, we all know its in the rockets best interest to have cap space and get younger. If we take on extended year contracts into next year ala Jefferies,then why would morey do that? Would morey really take on another 8 milllion or so in salary for Jefferies just so he can get Hill who has rode the pine all year. Hill hasnt shown anything otherwise Ny would be playing him.

I think Hudges/mobley works straight up for Tmac. I bet thats the deal. Ive said it in the "predict 2-18-2010" thread a couple days ago before this article came out. I want a cookie.

Lowry couldn't get playing time either when we got him.did that mean he sucked.

 

I don't believe a word they say. Give me expiring contracts for next season so i can stack assets on top of em to land upgrades. They only want to do a deal to make sure another team don't surpass them with more cap space available.

 

Give me Curry/Jeffries/Gallinari and you can have Tracy.

Then we'll take Curry/asstes to chase Martin/Nocioni.


You have to think inbetween and outside the box.

Then we'll take Jeffries/asstes to chase Jefferson/Sessions.
