Why does North Korea focus all this money and energy on developing their military defenses? Don't they have starving people there by the thousands, if not millions?
Your forgetting that their supreme leader doesn't care. His people are pawns on the chessboard to him, but aren't we all in a way.
They launched the missles North Korea has test-fired a missile which landed in the Sea of Japan minutes later, Japanese media report. The missile was launched at 0332 Japan Time (1832 GMT) and crashed into the sea 600 km (373 miles) from the Japanese mainland, NHK TV said. The public broadcaster quoted officials as saying the missile was unlikely to be the controversial Taepodong-2 which could reach parts of the US. There were reports of a second missile launch, but no further details. A Japanese government official was reported to have confirmed a missile had been launched by Pyongyang, but said it was unclear if it was the Taepodong-2. The US television station CNN, citing two sources, said the missile was smaller than the Taepodong-2. It was not clear where the missile had been heading, or if it had had a target, the network added. The US and North Korea's neighbours have been on heightened alert in recent days amid suspicions that Pyongyang was preparing to launch the Taepodong-2 from the Musudan-ri launch site in the north-east of the country. On Monday, Pyongyang warned it would launch an "annihilating" nuclear strike if its atomic facilities were pre-emptively attacked by the United States. Washington dismissed the threat as "deeply hypothetical" and urged the North Koreans to return to six-party talks aimed at curbing the country's nuclear activities. The talks stalled last year. The Taepodong-2 has a range of up to 6,000 km (3,730 miles), putting parts of the US within striking distance. The last time North Korea tested a long-range missile was in 1998, when it launched a Taepodong-1 over northern Japan.
Apparently. It really is like a fireworks display to get attention. Pathetic, really... pathetic and dangerous. Keep D&D Civil.
it's not a threat to us.... after all, we tax payers pay $419,300,000,000 to the military to protect us
Don't forget they really focus all their attention on hating the US as well. It's quite amusing how they are the own cheerleaders. Their so great...yet their so alone. I could not imagine living in that place. It must be horrible. So horrible that the people don't even know how horrible it is because their all brainwashed.
that's right! buffets rule! especially if they have pork dumplings! think about it, the vegans could go 2 their salad bar, the muslims can avoid the delicious pork chops and dumplings, and the jews can get more than one plate to seperate their meats and dairy. america rules! f### the rest of the world! we have the freedom of speech, and freedom of what to eat!
Looks like they are going to launch a few more bottle rockets today... EVERYONE PANIC _____ Defiant N.Korea vows to continue missile tests A defiant North Korea acknowledged for the first time on Thursday that it had launched several missiles, vowed to carry out more tests and threatened to use force if the international community tried to stop it. China, grappling with pressure from Washington over North Korea's missile tests, said its top negotiator on the North Korean nuclear crisis would visit Pyongyang next week. Pyongyang's statement came as the United States and Japan closed ranks in the face of a U.N. Security Council split over whether to impose sanctions on North Korea for the volley of missiles it fired off on Wednesday. "The KPA will go on with missile launch exercises as part of its efforts to bolster deterrent for self-defense in the future, too," North Korea's official KCNA news agency quoted a Foreign Ministry spokesman as saying. "The DPRK will have no option but to take stronger physical actions of other forms, should any other country dare take issue with the exercises and put pressure upon it." link
Too bad China just doesn't take North Korea out for the U.S. How about a deal. China takes out North Korea. Once it is secure, North Korea is reunified with South Korea under Seoul's rule and the U.S. will tell Taiwan that they need to end their rebellion. Then the U.S. can pull the 30K troops out of South Korea.
