they really do, and it's insane

I know I would be so fcked up mentally if I killed someone, especially in this manner...people out here will shoot someone in the head or threaten to kill somebody and go about like it's a regular Tuesday

An armed society is a polite society, where people act like sociopaths pulling out guns over basic human interactions and we let our children get shot down in their schoolrooms like GTA IV and we do basically nothing to prevent it, because to actually do anything to try to stop it would be not be polite.

If an armed society was really a polite society then Mogadishu would be the politest place on Earth.

And I bet most of them were raised as God fearing Christians.

Which contributes to my hypothesis that learning why life is valuable in a tautological manner "God created life, therefore life is valuable" stunts emotional maturity and creative ways to utilize empathy as a tool that reaches out to all circumstances. This foundational aspect that fundamentally shapes the emotional behavior of an adult being taught in this tautological manner is responsible for so many aspects of right wing ideology and behavior.

You can draw a line between the stunting of empathetic growth to why conspiracy theories are so rampant in right wing circles as an example of how this one thing has so many cascading effects. When your argument for life being valuable is "because God" you then are more likely to believe in a black and white moral system of inherent evil vs good which results in not analyzing systems but believing there is an inhebtly evil group that is pulling the strings not because of basic human motives that everyone has like desire to obtain wealth but some demonic evil that wants to make society astray into this amorphous blob of blue haired freaks with big t*** and a dick.

10 wounded in Denver mass shooting after the Nuggets win NBA Finals
DENVER (AP) — Ten people were wounded in a mass shooting early Tuesday in Denver in an area where basketball fans had been celebrating the Nuggets first NBA title win, police said, and a suspect was taken into custody.

The shooting happened about 12:30 a.m. — about 3 1/2 hours after the game — and three of the injured were in critical condition, the Denver Police Department said in a statement. The suspect, a man, was one of the seven people who suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

The shooting happened about a mile from Ball Arena, where the Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat on Monday night.

“As far as what led up to this altercation that resulted in the shots being fired, that’s still under investigation at this time,” police spokesperson Doug Schepman said. “It did occur in the area where we had largest gathering of folks celebrating during the night.”

The area was taped off and evidence markers were at the scene.

1.5 million abandoned cats and dogs get euthanized in America every year. Not sure about the source's abuse statistics.

Only the young and cute ones are furr babies.

    We can definitely do better.
