Nori Aoki Appreciation Thread

Gotta say he was tough to strike out

 

Loved his scrappiness

 

Early in the season, you showed your teammates what quality at-bats looked like.

Also Aaron Judge could not hit against you.

 

I remember that one time he was sitting in the dugout, he was quiet and focused. He was ready to play, a consummate professional. Thanks Nori.

 

A huge blow to our bullpen.

 

I'll miss him fouling off some pitches.

Eh...we still have Tyler White.

 

A lot of guys that move on I never miss, Aoki wont be one of them. Victim of circumstance in that he found himself on a team that had 3 OF having career years (or nearly so) at the same time, 4 if you count Gonzo.

We were blessed to have our jersey adorned by him for his 2000th hit.

He will represent Astros in the Japanese HOF.

I'll miss him for the same reason a good number of others will, I dig scrappy Japanese players. Too bad he won't be with us for the postseason run.

 

I liked really Aoki. Reminded me of those ole time slap hitters like Brett Butler.
