    My favorite players are:
    Matt Bullard
    Juwan Howard
    Tony Massenburg
    Vin Baker
    Matt Maloney
    and Jason williams
Why? Because they're getting over on their teams. They all make tons of money (save Williams) without doing a damn thing. Now that's what I call heady players. [IMG]

I thought Chicago was paying Matt Maloney about the minimum.

this was really hard for me, b/c of my Charles history...

    Scottie Pippen...

The guy's a freaking 4 year old w/ long arms but damn his defensive effort is the most amazing thing I believe I've seen since a certain 30 something rebound effort by Charles once.

(there's a Charles image up in the UL corner while I'm typing... kind of spookey... gotta go)

cabbage: I don't know if you remember, but all those things you used to describe Jason Williams people used to describe Pete Maravich. Yes, the guy makes tons of mistakes, but he is fun to watch and that's why I like him.

For as much as I love to see guys dunk, I don't think there is anything more thrilling to me than a great pass!

Achebe: Agreed. You can't question Scottie's effort out on the court. He's the ultimate team player.

Another guy I love is PJ Brown. Excellent defensive presence. He reminds me of Otis.

Then you must adore Cato. [IMG]

If he comes back, I'll bet we could find a place to squeeze MJ in. [IMG]

Shawn Marion (always rooted for undersized? players)
Chris Webber (longtime fan of his from college)
    Allan Houston (see Webber)
    Shareef Abdur-Rahim (see Webber)
Alonzo Mourning (see Webber, too bad he can't fight)
Kobe Bryant (just wish he would be himself and not a MJ clone, he's even started to copy his mannerisms)
    Allen Iverson (see Marion)
Stephon Marbury (see Marion & Webber)
Kevin Garnett (THE NEXT DREAM, you read it here first, will\has revolutionized the game as Dream did)
Tim Duncan (see Webber & Garnett, not as revolutionary)
    Michael Finley (see Marion)

    AND FROM THE OLD-SCHOOL:

Fat Lever (except for when he killed, I mean, played against the Rocks)
    Adrian Dantley (ultimate Marion)
David Thompson (anybody know where you can get copies of old tapes\highlights of Thompson and Maravich?)
Lewis Lloyd (OK not exactly a non-Rocket, the player I imitated when I learned how to drive, remember how he used to take his steps with the ball over his head and then bank it off the glass?)
Rolando Blackmon, Mark Aguirre, Bernard King, Alex English, Kiki "I'm not a ball-hog, I has an assist ONCE" Vandeweighe [IMG], Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Kevin McHale, Kevin Johnson, Larry Nance, Ricky Pierce, Jeff Malone, Alvin Robertson,....

As you see, I'm a BIG fan of the NBA as well as the Rockets. [IMG]

    Jenna,

You don't happen to be the same person I saw at a Rockets game a year or two ago with a "marry me Bryce" poster are you?

Players I would love to have play for the rockets, that don't necessarily have to be stars.

Ruben Patterson- Just love this guy's game
    Laphonso Ellis
    James Posey
    Darvin Ham
    Al Harrington
    Aaron Mckie
    George Lynch
    Mark Blount

I'm not sure, but I think Jenna has left the building, and I don't recall her ever having a liking for Drew. She does like PJ Brown and some flopper who uses Rogaine. [IMG]

    Hey Pole,
You seem to really have Jason Kidd on your mind after last night's game. Its good to know you haven't wavered your opinion of him as a basketball player because of his setbacks as a husband. I always thought JK was a good, humble guy, and was shocked to hear about his incident with his wife. One thing you have to admitt though, is that he handled the situation with class afterwards. Most athletes would have either denied it or not addressed it, but Kidd acknowledged he had a problem.

He's one of my favs as well; a Point guard couldn't get much purer.

    In no particular order....

    - Jason Kidd
    - Kobe Bryant (I love his game, but it would be nice if he became more of a team player)
    - Latrell Sprewell
    - Theo Ratliff (I would be MUCH happier if the Rockets had him instead of Cato)
    - Tim Duncan
    - Michael Dickerson
    - Chris Webber
    - Tracy McGrady
    - Darrell Armstrong
    - Rashard Lewis
    - Vince Carter

I'll give my non-Rockets favs by position:

    C- A.Mourning, B.Grant
    PF- C.Webber, T.Duncan, K.Garnett
SF- S.Marion, D.Nowitzki(loving this guy more and more every day), V.Carter,J.Rose

SG- R.Miller(my fav of all the favorites), E.Jones, T.Mcgrady
    PG- M.Jackson, S.Marbury, J.Kidd

1 guy I cannot stand is Kobe Bryant. He has great game but he is the most stubborn and selfish player I have ever seen. How could he go against what Phil Jackson is trying to do....the man won 6 rings!!! And he needs to stop trying so hard to be like MJ...I'd like him a little if he was his own player.
