I wonder if Matt Damon will make an appearance too? http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/2008/09/obama_scheduled_for_snl_cameo.php Obama Scheduled for 'SNL' Cameo TVWeek Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is scheduled to make an appearance on the season premiere episode of "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, TelevisionWeek reports. The senator has previously made an appearance on the late-night comedy show, but details of his upcoming cameo are yet to be released. Olympic record-holder Michael Phelps will serve as host. Politics will be a big part of what “SNL” will be doing this season, USA Today reports, while the Associated Press says skewering presidential candidates is a tradition on the show. —Sergio Ibarra
John McCain tries his hand at satire on "Saturday Night Live" Starring in two short skits on the season finale of "Saturday Night Live," John McCain reeled off a series of one-liners that generally earned little more than mild chuckles.

He's even been on SNL twice, but the thread starter is trying to criticize Obama for going on there. This is exactly what I mean when I say they're not even assuming the pubilc has a brain anymore.
Don't even bother reminding McCain's been on SNL multiple times, of course he knows, but the truth doesn't matter to him.
Well according to McCain, Obama was a celebrity, and now Palin is the new celebrity. Maybe she will make an appearance on Northern Exposure. Or perhaps she can play a role on Donald Trump's Apprentice.
Well, unfortunately Northern Exposure has been canceled, and I don't think Palin with her B.A. in Journalism is qualified enough or has the necessary credentials to be on the Apprentice.* *Note: she might be able to sneak on the show as Donald Trump probably wants to insert his pork sword
She could also go back to sportscasting this Saturday and cover the football team for one of the 5 colleges she went to.
With the Hurricane hitting, Obama decides it would not be appropriate to be on SNL..... Another sign of a great leader. How was Sarah's interview on 9-11 anyway? DD

That from Mr. Law and Order I thought this was funny from Bill Maher
The big difference being Obama is JUST a celebrity. He's the Britney Spears of politics, all style, no substance. McCain has become a celebrity because of who he is as a war hero and senator. Big difference.
