Well, technically it isn't running a Windows Mobile operating system. It's running a Windows Phone operating system. I wonder how many of those bashing WP7 have actually played with it? It's nothing like the old Windows Mobile 6 OS at all. Its actually quite slick and incredibly smooth. WP7 definitely doesn't suck. WM6.. now that sucked.
I don't think the lack of a FFC is all that bad. As many high end phones as I've had with them, I never use the camera, in fact my daily driver is an old school Droid Incredible with no FFC rooted with CM7 2.3.7 with it's file system converted over to EXT4. Blazing quick Now as far as WP7 goes, I likey. It interests me that's for sure, I kind of like the N9 though, but I'd rather have wp7 than meego.
suprised you kick it ol' school with the incredible. wp7 is super quick and elegant, but i've dealt with elegant, little train that could platforms before (granted microsoft is huge, but so is hp being the world's largest computer manufacturer). time tables for release of devices stateside are screwy and platform still young.
Not sure why people think Metro UI is ugly but if incorporated properly it look fantastic. I'm looking forward to Microsoft in the next few years.
