I'm sure W22_STREAK considers him to be the premier superstar of today's league. The league's top players as of right now? Tmac, Stromile, Ariza, Artest. Hands down.

The Ariza trade was bad talent wise but if trading him can help the chemistry, it was ok I think.

Adelman's team will never be boring.

Morey will trade for a dunker soon...

Normally, I don't mind ignorant fools on this forum, but I'm drunk and you're trying to be all cool, so let's get this on...

    How'd that work out?

Oh, and I didn't realize the Rockets were a bunch excuse making, skirt wearing, "It's on me" Prima Donnas.

First, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Tracy and Trevor tough!? :p

Cerebral? I think you need to get your cerebral checked and find out the difference between solid, lock-down D and gambling D. As for your comments on Shane... Them's fightin' words.

While I would understand trading Shane in lieu of gaining a superstar back, I would be devastated to lose him and what he brings to the team. Maybe you should learn a bit more about how ON THE COURT basketball works in order to understand what he brings to this team 'cause you obviously have no clue. I'm guessing you're one of those guys who likes flashing lights. You should go to Miami. I hear they got this guy who throws talcum powder in the air and people go nuts for it. ;)

    SMH

Or had the player blow right by him, forcing his team to compensate for his stupidity...
Or got into foul trouble and left his team high and dry...

By the way, you should ask CP3 how Ariza's arrival will make him want to stay in NO, Phil Jackson how he didn't want to let Ariza go and all the Rocket's executives how cool it was to see Ron in his underwear.

You must really NOT understand basketball if you don't think Yao Ming is the focal point of this offense. Go QQ somewhere else about him only playing 24 minutes a game. The man just got off surgery. Currently we have a deeper team than we have ever had and WILL make the playoffs with this team.

How about we break your foot, have surgery on it, put you in for a grueling 36 minutes of basketball and then have you play an increased number of minutes in the playoffs?

Go back to basics, kid. You're gonna need to know what's going on before the real seasons starts.

What rockets team have you been following? The Houston Rockets I know and love are unselfish, hardworking, down to Earth guys... something I never saw in your little, aforementioned entourage.

    So in conclusion:
    1) You obviously have no idea of what the true identity of our Houston Rockets team is
    2) You're undermining the true, unadulterated EXPLOSIVE talent we have.
    &
    3) You need to go buy Basketball for Dumbies...

And that's why I want to negative rep you.

    =]

    P.S.
    Learn proper grammar

Tmac was all salary-drain, flash, and injury all wrapped up into one selfish little package. How many playoff series did he win? That's right. None. We didn't pass the first round until he was inactive. I liked the promise of what he could do for us initially, but all the drama and injuries that followed sealed his legacy.

I love this current rocket team and all of our depth. They will be so much fun to watch. Stay healthy Yao!

Tracy McGrady was never a "Rocket".

Stop scapegoating McGrady. He was a Rocket and he was a fantastic player. The team failed, end of story.

When the rox had tracy and yao at their best, they had role players like shane, rafer, and hayes. Now they have really good role players and no stars. I guess just roll with the flow. I do like offensive movement vs stagnation.

Dear God this is a stupid thread. We've had more, or at least as, exciting games this preseason than in the entire last regular season. Our playoffs after TMac went out were more exciting than all the playoffs he played in.

Now, Artest, I'll grant you, he was a fun guy to have around, at least for the exciting interviews. I wouldn't have minded keeping him around, but he was a free agent who saw a great opportunity. And TMac obviously had his moments of greatness (although where in God's name you got every night from??     ). But Trevor??

You fail at trying to disguise your dumbass trevor and Tmac dick riding with a "excitement" complaint. We know what this is really about.

Lol. Ariza was more exciting to watch play than Kevin Martin or Aaron Brooks for you? Jesus, how have you lasted this long on here.

    Do you even have eyes?

    Good riddance.

I didn't give him the rep, he already had a green dot before I even opened this thread.

but anyways, that just goes to show you how EASY it is to get rep around here.

I got repped for posting "STFU." once.

    Just sayin'.

One green dot on 3000+ posts is not something you should be patting yourself on the back for.

Why list Ariza and Artest then? Makes no sense.

Now that Tracy is gone, I have a really good feeling about this season.

    It will be fun.
    It will be entertaining.
It will be full of win.
    It will end well.

I think that was a bit over the top there DD. Ariza was not a great player, but he wasn't completely useless like you are implying. I remember one game against the lakers last year when ariza played incredible defence on kobe, much better than battier IMO. Prob because of the length and speed has has that allowed him to disrupt kobe's game. Also at the start of the season last year, he was depended upon for offense, which was really never his game. We knew that and at least I did not expect much from him. He did what he could (although failed). Once martin came, and scola performing great, he was moved back to his usual position, the 4th or 5th option. That is what he is.

But I am going to agree with you about the whiny little b**** aspect of him. I One thing I CAN"T STAND ABOUT HIM is the fact when any of his teammates did not pass to him, his body language was horrible, even if they made the shot. Think in his mind he is a superstar. He wanted the ball. the guy needs to watch his own playing tapes and realise he is not a scorer. Also i think whenever AB took a shot when he was open, he looked pissed. I prefer Lee as a back up SG and Chase as the back up SF. both have lower salaries and seem to be great teammates.

Ariza wasn't great, but he was far better than Battier and Budinger last year.
