The thing with that is they were playing against a very physical team and a very good defensive team (maybe because of the physicality). I think those numbers aren't too bad if you watched them BOTH get hounded last season. If they had some more help, I think they could have done it. I still don't think they have enough though to get out of the first round unless the Rockets somehow land a creampuff of a team in the standings (assuming they make the playoffs). Not hatin', just statin'.
I would take a healthy T-mac over everyone on that list but Kobe and Lebron. And I'm laughing at the fact that you said Nash play defense.
Jump shooters suck most of the time in playoffs. Had Yao shot 30 less jumpers, fadeaways in Utah series, JVG should be still coaching. Here is a cure: We must find other ways to score other than jump shooting. it was a mission impossible for JVG. but I think Adelman can do it with this group of players. I am optimistic if we meet Utah again.
That is basically Yao's game. Mostly Jumpers and fadeaways. To be honest, I think he took more jumpers and fadeaways this year more than ever (due to high post offense).
