if we lose in the first round, i would break up the combo and trade tmac. i'm a rockets fan. my posting name is tmac_1 b/c of simply what tmac did in 04-05. that series gave me the chills and i will always believe whenever he remains a rocket, i truly hope i can see that type of performance again. that was simply the best performance i have ever seen by a perimeter player in a modern era after jordan retired individually on both ends of the court. hopefully i will this year in the playoffs.

but tmac would have to be looked at as a trade bait if we lose again b/c we have to move on as a team. 4 years are enough i believe. but that's not b/c i would then put all my faith in yao b/c yao has been a huge part and the main guy in these past 2 years and if we fail to advance, he's going to get some heat from me too.

what i would do is try to trade possibly BOTH if i can (tmac first) ONLY if i can get back some VERY young players to go with our very good young players in brooks and landry.

i think this team has a bright future, even when tmac is done with the rockets. but tmac is on this team. i support the rockets, therefore i support him. what the taem has done in the last 10 games have been VERY encouraging

    1) 4-5 guys in double figures
    2) 24-25+ assists
    3) good fg%

    4) great defense
    5) MOST IMPORTANT - great 4th quarter execution

the things bolded were not seen consistently under JVG. so i hope adelman will be the difference in terms of how he gets our team to prepare and perform offensively.

    Wade? No thank you!
Kobi? No thank you! .... Kobe? Yes!
    Lebron? Definitely!
Ginobili? No thank you! You need to add something else to the package!
Nash? This is a tough one! Not sure he would work with our roster!
Josh Howard? No thank you! He can't add anything T-Mac can't!
Dwight Howard? How are you going to play him and Yao at the same time?
Boozer? Sure, but only because I love that damn jumper! So sweeeeeet!

JeopardE you hate on me because i give my opinion in this "Forum" but the you really have nothing to say than talk about having balls and panties. Do you have some secret fetish about a set of balls in panties? Hence the name JeopardE "your balls are in jeopardy of falling out of your panties"? this is a rockets forum your looking to post on myspace.com. good luck there are a few amaphrodites out there i am sure that are all into the panty ball thing.

there are always exceptions stephon is a good player on a bad team look who is the coach? Wallace was defensive player of the year when he got that contract. How much do you think t-mac is going to ask for when his contract is up. After this year he will probably be looking for an extension, because he only has one more year i believe.

I hope yall will stop hating on Tmac now, because he manned up today, and played through an illness that even Yao had to sit out because of it. Yao only misses games if he has a broken bone, so you know it is serious. Tmac didn't have to do a whole lot today, but his presence is enough to help us, which is by getting Yao a post entry pass without turning it over.

All I am asking people to do is give the man a break, he was ligitimately hurt with a bone bruise,( a bone bruise is what diminished Grant Hill's career), he had back problems, just like Bird and Nash, and he had a freak accident with his elbow against the Lakers, and he did lose 9 family members/friends in a year, which is why he was depressed a couple of years ago.

The guy is human, he has a life outside of basketball, and he happens to get hurt, like many people have before him. Maybe its his laid back personality on the court, but people said the same thing about Eli Manning before, or his decline in driving to the basket, or any other BS people can come up with to call Tmac soft, but he is a VERY talented player, and I think he'll be fine now, because he FINALLY got some help on his side.

KG didn't win by himself, Duncan can't, Jordan couldn't, Bird and Magic couldn't, Erving, Shaq, none of them could win by themselves. They ALL needed help, and thats what got them over the hump. The ONLY player that was close to winning by himself being the only star on the team was Hakeem in 94, but he needed help the next year to win. Just let things play out, and hopefully people will realize how good of a player Tmac is.

if you read my post, u would know i follow the rockets. tmac is simply my fav player on this team RIGHT NOW. he wasn't in 04-05 before the playoffs, bobby sura was. if sura was still playing, you would see me as "sura_03" ;)

if trading tmac puts us to another level, hell yea i would make that trade. nobody is untouchable on this team b/c no one on this team has proven they are untouchable.

but i feel good about this group. i'm going to see what this team can do with tmac and yao leading the team do. if they fail again, both tmac and yao are highly expendable to me.

i simply stated those things b/c your criticisms of tmac are unfair for the most part.

Props to TMac for showing his teammates that he's there for them. That's what the team needs to see from him! IMO, him showing up to the game despite the illness is part of the reason for the team being fired up.
