Boban would be a great assistant coach and could still mentor from that position. Otherwise he should play occasionally in a zone defense to mix things up.

    Drummond is available

How do y'all think he would fit with Sengun?

If you’re being serious, it’s a horrendous fit. You can’t put a non shooting 5 next to a non shooting 4

Precisely, he is actually a coach but he can still play spare minutes.

That would be hilarious and then stick Amen into the rotation... that is some weird shooting team.

Drummond gobbles up rebounds and bricks.

    Amen
    Fred/Dillon Brooks
    Jalen
    Sengün
    Drummond

Would be highly entertaining, defensive could just play all 5 guys in the paint and we would score like 90 pts per 100

Another "beauty" (once Trump described a snobbish BBC representative, likely J. Sopel)

Some people were ready to send Alp+assets for Myles Turner type of rim protectors. How many FRPs Pacers should give away together with Turner to seize Alp now? 4, or more?

I think US people watch to much Marvel type of trash instead of learning from the founding fathers (Madison, Adams, Jefferson,...). They had chosen Spartan model instead of Athens. Didn't want Saviours, wanted to share the power within honest good guys.

Alp and Tari are the part of the young core, 6 players altogether. They might be the most important duo within but still needs others to bring the ring. No one is ubermensch, basketball is a team sport, not Wimbledon singles tennis match.

Instead of focusing the main issues (coaching, perimeter defence, shooters' regression, lack of cutting, rookies development,..) we are again in trivial pursuits.

Amen will learn to cut and improve as a shooter, Cam will learn how/when to pass, Tari will learn how to stay healthy, Alp will practice more FT, JGreen will figure out how to be more efficient, Jabari will grab more rebounds, JVV will play less and should leave bricklaying business to construction workers.

Like Drummond but as far as I remember he got zero rebound in the latest Rockets encounter. Zero. Should be something wrong.

Why on earth would we get a C that would improve our defense but take our offense from 20th to 30th lol. We're not going to improve 10 spots defensively, do you guys understand? We're the 8th best defense, when healthy we're closer to 5th. If you voluntarily climb 4 spots on defense and drop 10 spots on offense, you are an idiot and would get fired quickly.

Drummond is back as a reserve now that Vuc has worked his minutes up again from injury. As a backup to Sengun, and situational match up for muscle/size/rebound, he's serviceable. Plus he's super cheap right now. Contract like Sengun in the 3mil range.

It's also why Rockets was in reports for interested in Rob Williams (only 10-11mil). Injury prone, but would bank on for next season.

Lineup versatility is a good thing to strive for centers of varying styles. Instead of framing the conversation in lieu of Sengun at staring C, situationally to swap in for backup is the goal.

Guys like Timelord and Drummond are also vets and known commodities, a tier above the guys like Gafford ( who is very suspect at rim protection). If Williams or Drummond play bad defense, it will likely be from matchups or scheme, won't be from inexperience.

In the modern NBA there are situations where you can't play guys like Drummond (e.g. hack-a-drummomd), but there will be times where you want them.

Size that playmakes or scores or shoots......you combine size with an elite skill or two.

Basically what Sengün is and Bruno Fernando was not.

Everything aside, people advocating for Alperen playing 4 are hilarious. You all know it is impossible unless we have Wemby or similar. So you know it is impossible to begin with. You are just getting ready for a future argument easy, thats all. OR you could be flat out stupid which I believe is not the case.

Alperen would be kicked out of the NBA before he plays a serviceable 4. Get over it.

Jonathan Issac and Wagner are the keys to Orlando's dynamic lineup. Kawhi Leonard is filling a similar role on the wing for the Clippers. Rim protection in today's NBA looks like elite wings who are quick and can play above the rim.

Eason and Smith offer the Rockets some of this, but they are still young and have developing bodies.

Some see Eason's ceiling as a power forward. I think, in time, he will add enough game to play at the three as a small forward. That is if he can stay healthy. One has to hope that he doesn't have a slow start to his career like Isaac has had.

This whole frontline will need to grow physically, Sengun included.

To me, the glaring weakness that keeps this group from the experience of the play-in isn't a lack of size or rim protection. It's 3-point shooting. We are below average at almost every position in terms of being able to space the floor. We've lost 7 of 10, and we'll lose plenty more unless we can put points on the board.

Sengun would redefine the PF position. You don’t have to shoot threes to be a PF. Heck, we have a PG/SG who shoots 15% threes and is able to be out there and contribute.
