Just make every call reviewable in the final 2 minutes of each half. Give each team just 1 review per half, and charge them a time out if they're wrong. That way the absolute maximum for a game is 4 reviews. That wouldn't extend the game more than 4 or 5 minutes on average. The obvious result is more correct calls, but the secondary effect is that teams will be less likely to blow their time outs early in each half. That means less stoppage of play, and I think we're all for that. In the end, you probably get that 4 or 5 minutes of reviews back if there are less timeouts called.
I think "10 seconds" is really underestimating the time it would take. Still, I'm not against this being allowed, 4th quarters only, dead ball situations only, playoffs only, one review allowed per team, refs free to review additional times at their discretion. Non-calls not reviewable (as the game would have to be stopped to do so). No review if the difference in score is more than 15 points, unless reviewing a 6th personal foul. Evan
And thats why the Spurs, one the most boring teams and smallest markets, wins the most championships. Am I the only one who saw the ball go off Nash's hands during that play? It didn't go off Nash's knee but I saw it leave Nash's hands last.
Just my own opinion, but it looked like the ball was off Nash. It certainly wasn't obvious that it was off Bowen. I tivod the play back a couple of times and to me it looked like it was off Nash.
