The thing about him is that he's exactly what the Rockets don't have and need.

The continued adding of 6'5 and under "wings" is mind-boggling. Almost our entire cap is locked up by guys in the playoffs that should play AT LEAST 66 of 96 minutes. Backups required there, sure.

There is literally NO SF even on the roster at this point. Unless you consider Gary Clark a SF. Clark is probably the closest thing to DM "losing his touch" as anything I've seen out of him as a GM. Clark had like 5 or 6 "ok" games and DM got taken to school from a negotiating and leverage perspective.

Tilman and his dickriders are the only ones who won't admit we could use his help.

 

We are too small on the wing. Especially with Gordon playing like crap 70% of the time. But competent wings with size would be extremely valuable to this squad.

 

Thing is, it is not just about *height* but *IQ*. Getting a long athletic *dummy* does nothing for us. IQ is big. And it is why the Rockets made a move for Shumpert and moved on from the longer and more athletic Ennis.

MDA is willing to play smaller/quicker if it means more IQ. And that is fine at times. But over the long haul the lack of length catches up with them.

 

Yeah it’s absurd at this point. We’re not talking about an 8th or 9th man we’re withholding from our roster because of bad blood in contract negotiations. This guy on our team should be a STARTER. He puts Gordon and Shumphert back onto the bench in their respective offensive and defensive relief roles. Everything pretty much falls back into place with House on the team. If he won’t sign the extension then we lose him regardless after the season. Might as well convert him for the rest of the year.

sed on what the team needs now.House should be signed and Daryl played his hand . If he got Markieff Morris we are having a different discussion about how to handle House. Thats played out its time for the team to ring this young man back so we can commit to making a run.Morey could sign this man for peanuts this year. The reason he doesn't because he wants assets that he can control opposed to the Player having guaranteed leverage. Nobody wants to do business with us we cant undercut ourselves trying to strain every $1 to make our point
