I am looking forward to this last third of the season with Sura back and seeing how awesome the point guard rotation can be for the full 48 minutes. I think the entire team is only going to get better and more consistent.
Both Steve and Cat are talented players. I also like Steve's competitive fire and the way he stood up for his teammates. Yeah. NBA is a business, but bro, we can look out for each other.....However, T-mac is simply a more talented player than Steve and Cat.You've got to love him after watching him playing.
Oh now Steve is now imploding.....or maybe it is his passion oozing....you make the choice. From Toronto's Realgm BBS (in the "S. Franchise is a jerk!" thread) more...... Then his usually post game banter.....
Despite the fact that I use to be a big Mobley critic, I think that he would fit this team really nice off the bench. Imagine the spark that James and Mobley would give the Rocks off the bench? Talk about fire power, quickness and athleticism. Of course, it will be a jack fest. But the bench would be really strong. O well. Too bad.
I love watching this team and seeing the ball zipping around the perimeter. However, if I remember correctly, the rockets iso style of basketball did not start with SF and Cuttino. I have vivid memories of watching play after play of Barkley 1 on 1 with his defender backing his big fat @ss up under the basket, while the rest of the team stood around doing nothing. It used to drive me crazy.
we get that same spark with Barry ... and he doesn't have to dominate the ball (i.e. it comes in the flow of the game) if you want to see how Cat plays - watch the Kings - that is a passing friendly team ... but when Cat gets it - it's jack it up time !
Yep. Gotta thank Rudy's overuse of the iso for those occurrences. That's where the league came up with the 5 second Barkley rule which penalized the player and prevented that (5 second post isos - technical). Then, we come along and do the clearouts w/Francis and Mobley. And the league implements the zone (iso - 1 on 5). Rudy. This iso king! In the end, it turned out ok. NCAA rules for the NBA.
