I am not a fashion icon but I know that the OP is correct, jorts and cargo shorts both make you look adolescent. If you want a woman to touch your weiner I suggest leaving them behind. What kind of shorts should you get? Dockers khaki shorts are both extremely comfortable and look good. Navy or a brown tan color give you endless possibilities for shirt matching
Damn Clutchfans. I never seen so many fashion related threads on a male dominated forum before. I'm glad I don't care about what people think or what is "in" now. I like wearing Affliction shirts, sometimes with a sports jersey, along with cargo jean shorts and one croc and one AIR Jordan.
I just got some nice black plaid Dickie's shorts from Target. They look great, and they're Dickie's, so they can't be destroyed.
Just wear whatever you want. Do you really think people are going to recoil in horror if you shorts have pockets on the sides vs. not having pockets on the sides? Male fashion is horribly overrated. Just make sure you look good and not like a r****d. It's really not that tough.
Cargo shorts are still heavily sold at popular retail chains. Thus they are in. You can't even buy jorts in Arkansas anymore. Cargo shorts are not adolescent they are rugged, a man needs pockets for his fishing hooks, condoms, pregnancy tests, and a grenade.
I use them to sneak food into Astro's games and beer into coogs games (I am cheap, they sell beer there)
^ winner Seriously. I will wear what ever the F**K I want and not give two craps about what anyone thinks about it. I happen to have a pair of comfortable jorts and wear them a lot. If you're concerned about what people will think of you because you're wearing jorts, or cargo shorts, or whatever, you just need to turn in your man card. edit: MoonDog's reply is the winner
Jorts can be a few things. I believe that they are one of the more scenester-ish things to wear due to the re-emergence of fixed gear bicycles. Once those jeans get as tight as they can, I guess the shrinking goes upward. You'll also see em with shirts tucked into them with a sports cap at most outdoor events, but that's a tried and true formula, timeless. Cargo shorts are just comfy. You slap on some camo on that ho and your probably paying 50-60 bucks for that at any store at the mall. Bad value is where I draw the line, and I don't know if it's really true, but I still haven't gotten a tugger yet. Cargoes would probably be tip of the iceberg there though.
Your sense of being a man is far more convoluted than a well dressed man's perspective on your clothing.
