This is and has been my concern for awhile. Because of my job I am fortunate to have some connections. As it is, even right now there are still ways to leave, but it requires a convoluted travel schedule. I have a 7 year old, and the decay in this country since 9-11 has been marked, but the last 3.5 years has been stunning and it is only accelerating.

There is also some robustness here because we saw the federal response in DC also used unmarked federal LEO to control (and gas and beat) protesters there. Journalists were able to report they were from border control, prisons, etc. So we already know the federal MO is to deploy federal law enforcement without insignia. Not much of a leap to say we're seeing the same thing in Portland.
