no good passing point guard means bad offense

    Guys who couldn't get drafted coming into Rockets camp don't count too. Even the Spurs drafted Tony Parker who was a pretty good point guard in France. They had Antonio Daniels who is a combo guard. Tim Duncan probably told Popavich to get rid of this combo guard playing point guard garbage.

    I don't know that a real PG would matter. Didn't Alonzo's ankle bracelet say he didn't really need one?

    You're reducing the significance of the point guard position. I didn't like John Stockton that much when he was playing against the Rockets, but I admired his ability to work the the Jazz offensive machine. The Rockets starting lineup consists of 3 shooting guards and 2 centers. That's just plain garbage.

    I agree, getting their coach to figure that out may be difficult. I would at least like to see him try JJ as a point forward like we used to do with Rodney McCray. It would at least move a forward away fro Yao and open the inside somewhat.
