I want Rox have trade only this, please dont trade Ron or Battier for Carter, Carter is not one of the best offensers(although ge got 30 pts tonight), but Ron and Battier both are best defenders
That is a one long sentence... I was catching my breath when I was reading it... j/k This is just my personal opinion... I would love to have VC to Houston, but with the cost of Artest, Battier, and Landry? I think that is way too much to give... We are still successful despite the fact of all the injuries due to our defense lately... I know that there were some games that the Rockets didn't play good defensively but most of the game we won were because of the defensive effort... Giving up 3 of our major players in place of 1 will messed up the chemistry even more... Plus Battier is one of our leaders and also one of the reasons we are successfull. He might not give us a lot of good offensive performances, but his defensive effort to slow down our opponents biggest scorer night in and night out is one of the main reasons why we are winning...
A 26 year old 20-8 big is a much more valuable commodity than a 32 year old Vince Carter. Yes, Amare doesn't play defense, but he's 6 years younger than carter and he's a better offensive player than carter. He also doesn't take the team out of the 2010 sweepstakes. While they need a better point guard, trading artest for a minor upgrade in hinrich or a shooter in miller is selling low. Either you do better than those two, or take your chances on resigning Artest(who won't have a big market in FA). If you deal for either hinrich or miller, you are hitching your wagon on mcgrady returning to form. Because if he doesn't, the lack of a 2nd scorer will be a much bigger issue than the weakness at the point. If they could get miller in philly for ron, that would be a deal worth doing, on the other hand.
Alston Carter Artest Scola Yao Brooks Wafer Barry Battier Landry etc... sounds pretty good to me. I say yes to Carter if somehow Les was BSing and the Nets are willing to take McGrady's contract.
Ok, so the Rockets were in on trading TMac and now Les says no/maybe. How about trading TMac for Rip Hamilton and Prince? I just hope TMac is traded and not Artest, Battier, Landry.
If it's Carter for T-Mac then for sure but otherwise it's hard. T-Mac is basically unwanted by anyone until this time next year when hes a big fat expiring contract. The problem with Ron is that if there really his behind the scene issues with him and Mac then he is unlikely to resign anyways with T-Mac still here. If T-Mac isn't going to try and play the team game then our best option is to go Marbury on him and sit him out and keep him away... resign Artest and then pick one of the many options that the Rockets will have with T-Macs contract in 12 months.. I think the Rockets best chance at a championship is to use the 2010 chaos to their advantage and pick up missing pieces from teams trying to make cap room.
There's no teams in the NBA that you are 'supposed' to beat. Weren't we suppose to beat the bucks, 76ers or grizzlies? Yes the clutchfans wanted VC, but what the nets asked for was too much. We want VC for TMac, not 2/5 of your starting lineup and a solid tremendous player (and head, for what that is worth )
The players are playing rather well. I doubt whether artest for cater is a wise decision. Moreover, there r not many guys who can play as such a good role player like Scola and Landry in this league.
I agree with you, Carter is 32 years old now. who knows if he could play consistently and keeps in good condition like tonight? what if he gets injured? even if he is healthy, he is nothing but an older T-mac, let alone his 15 million contract is till 2012
i would trade no one except our pgs...and only for a major upgrade...doesn't someone want mcgrady's contract and rafer alston?! lol what about the sharpshooting luther head offer is not valid during playoffs
you are right !!! i agree ~~ our players are veryyyy goodddd!! and we also need healthy t-mac,if he can ......play hard....and ....
