I've been optimistic so far, but if we lose this game, we're DONE.

Hitting Furcal has to rank as one of the biggest blunders in Astros playoff history. I hope it doesn't end up killing our chance for this game, but with Smoltz pitching next inning, this doesn't look good.

    Drew stolen base.

Can you put a loss on an owner? Garner deserves this one.

Garner gets a fat F for this series. Two losses, in both situations, he took out our hosses when they both still had the game in control.

Will the Astros ever have a smart manager? I can't tell you what contempt I hold both Phil Garner and Jimy Williams in. Hell, even Larry Dierker, who knew how to coach, didn't really do it properly.

I want someone who plays the %'s. Who knows that Craig Biggio is a better hitter than Jason Lane. Who knows that you don't pitch to JD Drew when Marcus Giles is up next with 2 out.

What's wrong with playing the odds? I'm sorry if it's not passionate. I'm sorry if it's not traditional baseball. But it's the right way to play the game. I want a smart manager. I'm sick of all the sub-100 IQ's.

I realize we had first and third with two outs, but I would have let lidge bat.

Nobody knows if Clemens asked out.. he was about done anyways. He had been getting hit from the start.. and Qualls IMO is our 2nd best option outside of Lidge...

Why Springer still gets to take the mound is beyond me though

this is when beltran gets a base knock to right center.

then bagwell gets to the plate, it's a 2-2 pitch count.

then bagwell lifts the ball over the left field boxes.

    then they celebrate.

or smoltz K's them all. which might happen.

    I don't know Clutch.

This game has been too much to take, to take any more disappointment in a game that will REAALLLLLLLLLLLLY matter (game 5).

Our bats have gone ICE cold after they've tied it up...... smoltz is in...... what more can you ask for if your a defense pitching against a struggling offense.

2 runs is all we need. We're due for a miracle.
