he is up to 70 pitches but he's still bringing the heat jsut hope we can get out of this inning without facing furcal
Hey Nick. I agree with that "boring" thing. One of the things I remember about older Astros teams was the fact that it was kinda boring at times. Like we couldn't manufacture runs consistently. It was like "all or nothing" or "homerun or strke out." Today, the brand of baseball (this team) is much more balanced and fun to watch; singles, doubles, tripples, homers, bunts, steals, strikes, pick-offs, hit-left field, hit-right field, line-drives, defense, you name it. It's just "fun baseball." We're talented from top to bottom. We're really a dangerous team. It cool watching it playout on the field (chemistry wise).
couldn't agree more.... I say let him pitch the 5th but if he's going to do this again next inning, we need to yank clemens. 76 pitches thru 4 innings is NOOTTTTTTT a good sign for clemens or our chances of winning this game if clemens goes beyond 5 here's to hoping clemens can set them down in order 5th inning!
Whew.. Man Roger's throwing everything he's got left right now. Well, do you see if he go a 5th, or do you pull him and put a fresh arm in? Normally I'd say "leave him in" but he's not looking as sharp as usual and his pitch count is starting to get up there for a 42 year old on 3 days' rest. BTW I've been looking at other message boards and you would not BELIEVE the amount of b****ing Braves fans have been throwing up about Biggio's foul ball, even though that ruling is standard at all parks, not just MMP.
Clemens clearly isn't the same pitcher on 3 days rest. With that said, he's gutting out one hell of a performance.
Yeah can not deny that at all. The guy is putting us on his shoulders even if it isn't the best performance of his career.
2 guys were warming up when Roger was getting in trouble in the top of the 4th. But Roger is hitting now to lead off the bottom of the 4th so that is your answer. At least one more shot for Roger!
If there is a positive to come out of Clemens today, it is that he settled down in the later innings in game 1 after not being sharp at the beginning.
