Since every game is IMPORTANT ... It seems like the ASTROS are really just running on a 3-man ROTATION.

    Clemens-Oswalts-Backe?

I mean Munro in a playoff game??? how can we

Stros have to come up big in this one. I'm worried how they're going to respond after a tough loss like yesterday. I'm going to this game. For that reason alone:

    Astros 7
    Braves 4

They are coming home. Minute Maid should be electric. Let's have fun and kick some ass.

    Astros 8
    Braves 3

Braves play under protest, believing they only have plain sunflower seeds, while the Astros have BBQ flavored.

Man, there was no such thing as lights out Lidge yesterday.

Oswalt had a great day of pitching spoiled.

I guess you can't win them all, but man that one hurt. I see us winning this thing at home this weekend. Time for a COMPLETELY SOLD OUT weekend. No standing room only left.

    Let's go Astros!

Can't totally blame Lidge...Garner manages them to 36 out of 46 by using Qualls and Harville in big setup spots...then he brings in Lidge in the 7th and the rest is history. I think this was a big mistake by Phil. When you bring a closer into a game...in a non closing situation (i realize we were up a run so technically it was ...but 7th inning???), you aren't going to get closer stuff. Lidge probably went in there pacing himself to go 2 2/3 and it showed. Not even to mention the fact that you put Lidge in that situation in his 1st postseason role ever...You not only hurt the kid's confidence, the Braves know are confident that they can beat our closer. Bad move!

Not that important. We jumped out to an early 2-0 lead which evaporated...the Braves scored first first gme and they lost that one. I tihnk it's more important to have consistent hitting; we can't win by relying solely on the long ball.

It looks like Boston is about to finish off the Angels today, and the Cardinals could do the same tomorrow against the Dodgers.

Both the Angels and the Dodgers games are scheduled for 3:00 on Sunday .. If this happens do yall think the Astros game would get moved to 3:00? This would be so much better with the Texans game early.

On MLB.com it says if ALL the other series are done (sweeps of the Dodgers and Angels and the Twins/Yanks series ends in 4 games) then the Astros game 4 will be moved to 6:30 PM, which would be great if you ask me.

Houston is hot at home, but, in the end, it's not like you guys get five extra runs just from being at home. It's still a baseball game, and an eighteen game streak or whatever it is doesn't mean anything in the playoffs. Justify your confidence and KEEP winning at home in the playoffs, or your streak won't mean anything and Atlanta will be playing St. Louis. :)

    Go Braves!!!

I'm pretty sure an Atlanta vs. St. Louis NLCS would make me lose complete interest in baseball for the time being.
