I'm going to punch Justice in the face if I ever see him ....

Sure feels like the Astros playoffs, doesn't it?

Well... that's what we're gonna hear non-stop for the next two days.

Funny that the season started with "How the hell did we leave in Oswalt that long."

Just a note to those watching the game. Would you mind actually updating the action when it happens?

"Ouch!" and "that sucks" and "great!" don't really give us out-of-towners any insight as to what is happening.

    Thank you,
    DH

Can these fools please shut up about Lidge "throwing breaking ball after breaking ball"? Lidge has one of the top sliders in MLB. Stick with your bread and butter.

I said it before it happened. The one potentiality I understand is that they want to give him the experience before heading back to Houston, but that's pointless if you lose the game.

Not yet. I'm still way too nervous :)

In hindsight, yeah -- should have left in Oswalt. I was more stunned he went to Lidge so early. It's a shame that no matter what, our Oswalt advantage has been negated. We need Clemens and Oswalt to win their games to have a strong avantantage in the playoffs.

I honestly think Garner was gonna pull Roy after the next hit anyways... Roy gave up more hits than he normally does, and that RBI single by Furcal was just laced.

The fact that he decided to bring in Lidge is what should be questioned... but I'm supporting the decision (even though it didn't go our way).

They have to find out something to dog us on and say that they would do somethin different....if not they couldn't make them selves seem so smart.

I don't know if they've changed things in Houston, but in Utah the work day is still in full effect at 4:45 in the afternoon.

We don't have a TV in the office.

Well I was curious as to why he wasn't throwing fastballs myself. I guess the argument is you don't want to give them a lead (ala the Billy Wagner grand slam to Chipper a few years back).

Well... maybe the old Astros give up the lead there... the new ones keep it a tie game.
