Obviously, Garner is as scared of using our unexperienced bullpen as I am. I don't like the decision to leave him in at 42 with 107 pitches. Least, he's gone through it quickly. WOOO!!! THERE WE GO ROCKET!
Everything Garner touches turns to gold. No way you think that clemens is coming back out. He does and has a quick 1-2-3, 10 pitch inning. AWESOME!
hell, leave clemens in straight through the ninth at this rate. "homerun, slam-a-lama (*gong*) ding dong."
All you guys should stop being worried about Clemens... he is never crazy about starting on 3 days rest, and that's only even a possibility if we lose both of the next two games (which, in my mind, is highly unlikely with the way this team is playing right now). Also, it definitely looks like he gained a 2nd wind out there... and you know that he wouldn't have wanted to leave this game on a bad note. Finally... despite the stomach flu... he still had SIX days of rest coming into this start, thus giving him a little extra energy at the end there. I honestly just think he didn't have his "control" today anyways... stomach flu-related or not.
Indeed... Joe Buck is pretty damn funny on Cards broadcasts (he has to tone it down for national TV), and he's fast rising as one of my favorit PBP guys in sports.
Don't know and don't care. I want to be there just for the atmosphere *standing and clapping for Clemens*
I gotta believe it was precautionary... he wouldn't have been able to breathe well/lift his arms up, let alone run the bases, if it was a cracked rib or something serious. Anything else indicates a bruise... which means he'll be playing. I just hope it doesn't effect his hitting... I DO think that Chipper's bruise has effected him big-time today.
