So many names going through my head...Billy Doran...Glenn Davis...Craig Reynolds...Alan Ashby...Joaquin Andujar...Cesar Cedeño...Jose Cruz...Kevin Bass...Billy Hatcher...Bob Knepper...Mike Scott...Nolan Freakin' Ryan...they all tried for years to do what this Astros team is on the verge of doing. I sat glued to my tv as the Stros battled the Phillies in 1980 and came so darn close. I was in the seats of the Dome in 1986 watching my boys in orange and blue battle the Mets and come even closer. I still have my souvenier bat and cap. Now, for the first time ever, my team is on the verge of advancing. We've waited through ownership changes, stadium changes, divisional changes, uniform changes, slogan changes, player changes... We've just waited so long for this. Is it wrong that I'm getting a little teary-eyed right now? Must...save..emotion...for...NLCS!
Are the Braves fans leaving early because they think the game is over, or to avoid Furcal on the road?
i love the fact that after this series people wont be able to talk about biggio and bagwells inability to hit in the playoffs
