damn guys, i'm upset the 'stros didn't make it as well but you are letting hate get in the way of enjoying the great game of baseball. just take a deep breath and let it go.
The Colonel: All that hate's gonna burn you up, kid. Robert: It keeps me warm. I'm not expecting the NLCS to be very good playoff baseball, as both teams have pretty significant flaws. Both the NLDS series were damn near unwatchable. Both AL teams are much more well-rounded. Geaux Tigers!
just trying to help the mets starting pitching is weak but the rest of the team is solid. if the mets get to the world series, and i think they will, it should be interesting. the mets find ways to win. randolph seems to pull all the right strings. i get the beltran hate and i was devasted in 1986, but this is a pretty likable group they have now. how would you like to have reyes or wright or delgado or beltran on the astros?
in all seriousness, it doesn't matter. they could have Gandhi at first base. they're the new york mets.
I hate the Cards right now..for one they're in the division and backed into the playoffs. Pujols...I'd love to have him on my team but damn I'm sick of the guy getting game winning hits. The only thing I really hated about the mets was that Beltran went there...but I pretty much got over that when the Astros proved they could win without him and when he proved he wasn't worth the high payday.
it's almost as bad as when my father-in-law got us tickets to the cotton bowl.... to see Arkansas play Oklahoma. i was rooting for a comet to hit the stadium.
Terrible pitch by Weaver... he was lucky that the ball actually landed somewhere. That thing should be still be in orbit... he missed his spot by that much. Now Delgado rakes one.
Seeing Beltran hit that homerun reminded me of why I don't like the Mets even more. I don't like the Cardinals but I can't stand the Mets.
why? everyone on the mets is likeable. reyes and wright were in the farm system. the only guys they really paid for was beltran, pedro, and glavine. the lo duca trade was a great trade and so was delgado...
I love how our team (for the most part) doesn't stand around to admire their home run. is it just me, or is pujols getting a little too much credit for his base running? it hasn't been all that great lately. he has got caught in pickles a few times the last month or so. i hate pujols and i hate the cards. i hate beltran, but i hate the cards in general.
