I think if the Astros can just break thru with a run... it will snowball.

Its just a matter of how they'll first get that run.

    i think so too

just don't let Williams get comfortable out there

hes a veteran and he knows how to pitch

he seems to be effectively wild tonight

They wont get it by swinging at pitches a foot out of the strike zone.

Or by watching strike 3 go through the dead center of the zone like Viz.

Woody was all fastballs in the first inning... and he was pretty much all off-speed junk in the 2nd.

The bats are paying attention... don't worry.

Anyone know if Lamb is on the bench for this one? I know he missed yesterday's game due to the birth of a child.

to be fair that was about as inside as a strike could be. a good call but it barely caught the corner.

of course it would be nice if the bottom of our order (actually the last 5) would start participating in the offense instead of spectating. we kinda need them.

Gotta love those quick outs. This offense is about to bust it wide open. Just a gut feeling

The same could be said for both teams... in fact, the Cardinals have been WORSE! At least Ensberg has a homer, and Viz and Chamo have had a couple of big hits.

Renteria, Sanders, Matheny... all been MIA. In fact, their pitchers... Woody Williams & Marquis have been the best hitters for them at the bottom of the lineup.
