Exactly... and, knowing what it takes for Tavarez to be effective... (pine tar, rosin, vaseline, goop, who knows what else he's used) I don't think "pitch with a broken hand" is on the list of things he uses to get a competitive advantage. But... as one poster said in the STL forum... it might not be "good" news for us that he's not pitching. He was our pseudo-Michael Barrett goin into this series.
It worked for Game 5 in Atlanta. If they lose today i'll never post another Bill Pullman picture again.
So are they going to show the game on FSN until the Yanks v Sox is over or will they just not show the game until this one finishes?
You know...Im really beginning to hate Fox's coverage of the LCS... delaying the start time of the games just so u can show both all the way thru (despite the fact they could of had an earlier start time for the Sox-Yankees game today)...seems pretty... well I can't find the words for it but I don't like it one bit....you have 45,000+ fans and two teams with nothing to do but wait....
ok...game's gonna start at 7:40 or so...whether this one ends or not.... it'll show on fox and the Sox-Yankees game is gonna be moved to FX ...for viewers in Houston and St. Louis..otherwise..reverse it...but that's still crap
Guys... this was the plan all along. Even if there was no ALCS game today, this game was still gonna get started only around 7:30... just like game 1 was last week in St. Louis. The only downside is if you live outside of Houston or St. Louis, and you don't get FX... then you're stuck w/ this game until it finishes (and, seeing that the Red Sox are about to score, it very well could goto extra innings). The upside?... more rest for Lights Out... even though he doesn't need it. FWIW... when the baseball TV negotiations come up again, I guarantee you that NBC or CBS will jump back into the game (they got out because of the strike, etc.)... and hopefully, having more than one network will lead to individual coverage of the LCS'.
If you're outside of Houston or St. Louis, the Astros game is on FX until the Yankees-Red Sox game is over. Man... there's not a sweeter shot than all of MMP waving the rally towels. Whoever invented the rally towel is a very very smart man.
