i'm glad roy picked today to forget how to pitch. get ahead of walker, walk him. 2-0 to pujols, fat pitch down the middle. ahead 0-2 to rolen, hang a curve. 0-2 to renteria, walk him.

way to keep that pitch count down and get us some innings.

we'll need to score about 13 today.

I blame Fox and their stupid football post game coverage for making Roy alter his warm up time. I am so sick of being second fiddle for the nation.

    Come on Roy.

    Lets go Astros!!!!!!

    I believe!!!!!!

yeah, although you can't be down 6 runs before you even bat in the 1st.

there's a limit to what settling down can do for a starter. :\

He has to. No way we're winning with the 'Hanging Chad's' coming in.

Last thing we need is their crappy players in a slump to get some confidence off of Roy to start the game.

One good note. Beltran has scored a run or Hit a Home Run in every first inning. So lets keep that trend going.

they are either just patient hitters, or LaRussa has ordered them to take alot of pitches

Well them saying that they were watching video i am sure they have been instructed to look for the curve and wait on a fastball aparently. They are looking really patient at the plate and it is paying off. They are not being aggresive at all. They are just waiting for a pitch to hit and they are getting it.

Or mabye they are just good hitters, and don't swing at the high stuff.

Roy needs to get the ball down or it is going to go out in a hurry and we are going to be looking at an impossible task of being down 3-1

based on his last start against atlanta and this first inning, i'd watch a lot of pitches against oswalt, too. if he gets behind, watch a few. if he gets ahead, he'll throw a few balls, and then around 2-2 or 3-2 he'll give you something to hit. this way you can just ratchet up his pitch count like crazy without much effort. even if we score this inning we probably won't see more than 12 or 13 pitches.

biggio takes a nice 2-1 count from a guy with nothing and weakly grounds out, great.

Walk to Beltran. They are not going to give him anything to hit at all.

We have to steal a base..be aggressive.
