this would be heartbreaking to work so hard to tie the game just to give it up the next inning

This is a bad move by Garner. Let Roy get their big guns out then we have our big dogs coming up to bat with a tie game. I just pray that his decision works.

    Lets Go Astros!!!!!!

    I believe!!!!!!

ok garner is now seeing la russa's move to pitch to chavez and raising him a "bringing in the bullpen." maybe garner is due to not have a move blow up in his face.

I'd put in wheeler. he seems to be the best middle reliever at this point.

I say send in Lidge. Balls to the walls time. There is no tomorrow(even though there is).

Gallo can come in and close if need be. He was the best middle reliever in September.

It's risky, but worth taking IMO.

2 Outs to bring in a pinch hitter doesn't make sense to me i mean if it was 1 out or something...we should have kept Roy to pitch to pujols....

i would say that the top of the 7th is the most important inning of this game now

i also wonder why, if you are gonig to pinch hit for Oswalt, why you didn't put Everett in to PR for Chavez ........Garner obviously felt the dire need to score again

See what's the point. We already tied the game and had the top of the order coming up the next inning. We weren't in scoring position especially with Chavez on base....so why not keep Oswalt in there to face their main hitters.

I agree. Especially with Chavez on the bases, you knew the only real chance we had of scoring was another home run. I don't think Orlando is going to deliver that.

After what Pujols has done to Roy today? I'd have to disagree with you there. Pujols has seen too much of Roy today and knows how his pitches are moving.

I don't think we could have scored. If it was a double or we had a man on 2nd then it would look fine to me but in that situation the odds of getting on base and scoring another run was really low.

    His wife gave birth yesterday?

I'm all for players being able to be with their wives when they give birth regardless of the situation(playoffs, etc), but at some point you have to be responsible for the incredible salary you receive.

If his wife gave birth yesterday ... It just seems to me like he should have been here this morning.
