I didn't like Biggio's move, but think of it like this, without his being thrown out, Lance doesn't get that pitch to hit out. He may have gotten a comparable pitch, but who knows. Calero was on fire last inning. He might have gotten Lance out.
as much as i like ensberg, starting lamb today wouldve done us some good. we need that extra bat in the lineup.
Come on Guys....lets get something out of the bottom of the order....Lets shut these announcers up....talking about the bottom of our order like that.
i wouldn't say terrible ..... .242, 2 HRs and 7 RBIs this postseason however, he hasn't come up with the clutch hit we've needed at times
aside from the fact biggio was safe, i think biggio understood the cosmic implications of getting caught stealing. he understands that guys love to hit homers after caught stealings and after watching calero mow down beltran and bagwell figured it wasn't gonna happen then. so he did the only prudent thing possible, get caught stealing to set up the homer for this inning. good job biggio. and good job viz, at least move up the batting order one spot before chavez gets out.
