Same story as Thursday we had bases loaded 2 times and we didn't capatilize...we really need to on these chances and put it away.
Its called Range factor... Womack >>>> Kent Renteria>>>>Viz Rolen>>>>>>>>> Ensberg. The only player we have that can cover a good range is Everett. Also, the Cards shift more for players like Lance and Kent because they can compensate due to their speed.
I know that the bullben has gotten a lot of attention for letting games get away, but I believe it is situations like this as the reason we are down two games in the series. This is the third time in the series with the bases loaded and no runs out of it. We have to get better at getting people home when they are in scoring position. Lets go Astros!!!!!! I believe!!!!!!
Easily... the Astros had a chance to knock Morris out of the game, while he was still pitching, but didn't. Since we were shutting them out at the time, it wasn't very noticeable. In this game, its noticeable because the Cards are getting into a nice groove, making every inning tough.
Big out right there against Edmonds... EDIT: Followed by a pretty big wild pitch... Ausmus looked helpless on that one.
The fact that the Cardinals are being aggressive EARLY in the count is probably why Roger is getting touched a little bit here. Normally, teams take a few pitches against him, and he tries to get ahead every chance he can get. BUT... it will benefit us if he can keep them down, or the game within reach... because that strategy allows him to stay in the game longer.
Fox Announcers: it's a foregone conclusion we won't sign Beltran. Yeah, like they know what Beltran wants to do
They gotta keep the New York/Chicago audience somehow... Roger looks to be pitching around Reggie right here... not a bad idea with Matheny up next.
