(back to roof rant) According to the radio... it looks like the roof was opened during batting practice, but Roger wanted it closed. Of course, had he not gotten used to pitching with it closed in the first place, he wouldn't have that luxury. There should be "strict" standards on when the roof is opened or closed... it should be based on temperature and chance of rain. Create a scale, and stick with it.
I kinda like the roof being closed. If Roger thinks it gives him an advantage, why would anybody argue with that? If you're not at the game, why does it matter to you if it's open or closed? A brighter tv picture? I'll take Clemens' preference and the louder crowd any day over seeing more sunshine on my television set. If I want to look at sun I can open the blinds.
a nice damn display of offense indeed! this is what can't be beat, the hometown crowd of the houston astros! yeah, although I dunno about the roof open or not, treat the fans to a fantastic day weather wise. ahh well, if it helps roger pitch, what the hell i guess.
