if we lose this..it will be toughest sports loss ive ever witnessed probably.. only other comparison is that stockton shot...

back in late july.. we were losing and I was starting to get used to it.. then they got so good and took us all on this ride.. makes it all more crushing

yeah, there was no reason not to bring in Roy last night, but to double switch Lidge and have him replace Berkman,, all time manager screw up. Mike Lamb not playing today with the way the offense was going,, terrible call.

Even though Lance got thrown out, I'm smiling... that ball got the cheater right on the broken bones.

Good god how long have you been a fan?

This is is typical whenever the Astros have been in a NLCS.

Every series they've played, 80, 86, 04 have all been gut wrenching losses - most have been worse (We were leading most of the games)

    francis 4 prez,

no offense friend ....but if you think Clemens was going to be pulled in the 6th inning, in a tie game so he wouldn't have to face Pujols .......then there is no help for your logic

no way was Roger going to be pulled in that situation

francisperez, you make good points, I was ready to bring Lidge in from the 6th inning on and if he struggles then bring in Oswalt.

when balls are hit off the pitcher and you still get thrown out by a step, it's not you're day.

why are we the unluckiest, unclutchest team ever in the playoffs? right to the brink with a 2-1 lead and then it falls apart. at least the bullpen didn't get the loss for once.

Change your outlook. What the Astros have done over the last 2 months is something to only be celebrated. Let's not forget that the St. Louis Cardinals

CENTRAL W L PCT GB E# HOME ROAD EAST CENT WEST AL L10 STRK
    St. Louis 105 57 .648 - - 53-28 52-29 19-11 54-36 21-9 11-1 5-5 W1

had the best record in baseball and we gave them all that they could handle and more.
