Seriously. I wonder if they'll preempt the ending of our game with some great pregame coverage of the Yanks/Red Sox. I guess we can always watch on FX...
He was tabbed as a right-handed Billy Wagner when he came out for the draft. Obviously he hasn't done as well, but he's always had a plus fastball, and above average slider.
Exactly, both of the Chads have good stuff, its just that they don't have good control and tend to give up the big hit at the worst possible time.
Its too late... he needed to do that BEFORE he put in Harville. IT would be pointless now, since the pitcher spot would come up before Everett anyways if he did double-switch.
while i'm not sure i like going through another pitcher already. harville wasn't exactly destroying them. he faced a real hitter who doubled and then two weak hitters who he got out. if not for damn renteria beltran would be up with 1st and 3rd. damn him.
Why take Harville out? Let him bunt there. The guy was throwing 96mph...which was significantly different than Munros 89. The Cardinals timing with Munro was on...why not disrupt it some and let Harville face the top of the lineup? We are in the game....bullpen redemption time. DD
seriously, i hadn't even finished posting when he swung and i missed it. i need a 10 second buffer at the beginning of each at bat to let my brilliant thoughts propagate through cyberspace.
Harville's been throwing meatballs that the bottom of the lineup wasn't able to catch up with. Walker and Pujols would have destroyed him.
