Hey no argument from me...this game was crucial and there was NO reason at all to not bring Lidge in.

Garner is costing us games....he has looked like a moron this post season.

Techincally, he made the mistake of bringing in Lidge early last week against Atlanta, and Miceli ended up blowing it.

Maybe he learned... or maybe he just didn't prolong the inevitable this time.

You have Oswalt up, Lidge up, and you go w/ Miceli. Great job, Garner. Blew the game for us again. Pathetic.

What other pitchers are on the post season roster, Carlos? Redding? Duckworth?

    Who?

Time to try someone else other than Qualls, Miceli, and Springer.

Wheeler can stay, he has looked pretty good.

    WHAT THE ****.

Bring in Oswalt, I don't care if his arm falls off. I'd rather see that then see Miceli give up back to back at this point. If not him, Lidge. Dumb managers of today, you don't need a damn lead to bring in a closer. I hate you right now Garner. Definitely you, too, Miceli.

Wheeler should have just stayed in he shouldn't have pinch hit for him in that situation knowing that they had the heart of their order up....and that we had our heart coming up.

    Man, this hurts.

Miceli killed the Astros in 1998, and he's killing the Astros this year.

I really thought Lidge was going to pitch this inning. and I expected it.

Ok... just to stop this fast... OSWALT WAS NEVER GOING TO COME IN.

If Garner did that, he'd be screwing us up more... this isn't game 7.

    Not Oswalt, Lidge.

Even though there are down 2-0, we still have a good chance at home, IF both Roger and Roy pitch great games.

The only way we win this series if if the starting pitching goes deep and hands off to Wheeler/Lidge.

If the Starter goes out before the 7th, odds are we lose that game.

in defense of Phil, you don't let a middle releiver bat when you only have 5 outs left to win the game

i can't see anyone having a problem with pulling Wheeler to be honest with you
