Great ****ing move Phil Garner. I'm not saying Munro would've got him out, but at least give him a chance to get out of his own jam rather than bringing in these ****ty middle relievers.
This is sad..just really sad how we work leads and can't even keep them thanks to our Bullpen...this is the story of our post season this year.... When your starters are 3-0 and your bench is 0-3 what can you say.
Starting pitching is better than bullpen pitching. I just don't get why Phil has such a quick hook? I could understand it if we had a great setup man, or a 4th or 5th starter to bring in, but Garner is killing the team with all these quick hooks. Munro gave up a walk and a homer and a single to Puljos....why not leave him in? He was pitching fairly well? You bring in a guy with a 5.0 or so ERA..... I think Garner deserves a ton of credit for getting us here, but he is over managing in the playoffs. DD
but what if Munro gave it up? Our starting pitching is weak save Rocket and Oswalt, and our bullpen is bad save Lidge.
well... then its probaby the first time that many of you have watched Pete Munro then... There's a reason why they do things in the regular season... and Munro didn't become cy young overnight. Bottom line... this bullpen is not getting the job done right now, and it won't matter who's throwing on the mound if they can't do anything. At least its just a 1 run game right now.
