can u imagine if we had andy pettitee and wade miller healthy we would cruise right thorugh the wordl series?
I have been thinking about it since we got into this years playoffs. I am tired of all these people dogging our rotation other than Clemens and Oswalt, when they have all gone out there and preformed. Backe pitched 2 very important games and did a good job, for someone that used to be an outfielder. I really wish we had pettite and miller right now becuase we would be cruising. BUt you know what i will enjoy this win even more when shut up the likes of Harold Reynolds and others that keep saying we don't have a chance and keep saying the Cardinals are going to kill us. Thanks to John Kruk who is the only person that kept picking the Astros to even win this series... Lets go Stros.
You know what pisses me off, I timed Sportscenter today. The first 16 minutes were ALL YANKS/SOX. The first PICTURE of an Astro was exactly 18 minutes into the show.
I've seen John Kruk pick the Cards in the series about 4 times now ... I think he picked the Stros lineup over the Cards lineup, but as for the series I saw him pick the Cards
I was mad too, but after I read this ESPN article I felt a little better. This is the Real Super Match-up
Enjoy this last half hour before the game, it may be a long time before we can bask in the glow of a division series win again. Go Astros!

Something I noticed. According to ESPN Astros Payroll = $74,666,303 - that's a solid number St. Louis Payroll = $81,008,517 - again, solid. Combined, those teams have about 155 Million in payroll. The Yankees have a $183 million payroll. That's just offputting that the Yankees payroll is significantly larger than both NLCS teams combined - and these are the 10th and 12th highest payrolls in the game. My point . . . there is none - I just thought it odd.
Give yourself credit...it is a valid point. Especially when you consider the Angels and Marlins payrolls (from their championship years) we realize that it's not all about money.
