Yup. this is why my expectations for this series are completely different from the NLDS.

But hey -- stranger things have happenend. Maybe we discovered tonight that Wheeler can give us a quality inning or two in middle relief.

I don't know how you can like Micelli. He pitched like a scared little girl.

The Astros lost game 4 because Micelli was so ineffective, they had to bring in Lidge in the 8th. That was the catalyst of the whole Garner 2nd guessing.

If Micelli could've pitched 1 effective inning, none of that wouldve happened.

Why do I think that Qualls is going to become the Matt Stevens of the Astros?

Fair enough, and exactly my point......

I am glad they went down fighting, and you have to wonder what would have happened if Garner would have left Backe try to pitch out of it in the 5th inning.

Backe is young, and the entire league used to pitch on 3 days rest back in the 70s and early 80s.

Backe was rolling, if you have a suspect bullpen, and you have a chace to steal game one and the momentum of the series YOU TAKE IT !!

You do not pull your starter after only 93 pitches UNLESS he asks out...that is what got Jimy in trouble.

Your rants are whats annoying, and sadly, I am not the only one on here that feels that way.

You are an under-qualified second guesser (i.e. Clemens should have stayed in when Clemens admitted that he had nothing left), even if you were watching the Colt 45s five years before you were born.

My question is this .......do sperm understand baseball??

    heheheheh

Notice, I gave credit to Mecili as 1/2 a bullpen guy.

    Nope. Why?

In the past the Astros have always played, "not to lose." That's changed.

I couldn't say it any better myself.

Even if they do take him out like they did, don't leave Qualls in so long.

    Alright, Munro...or rain out...:p

    Offense is mashing...

    Beltran is SMOKING.

But our bullpen is shaking like they're facing the baseball version of the Monstars.

It's time for Pettite to become a switch pitcher.

    Well wooopppeeeeteeefrickendoooooooo !!!!

You don't like passionate fans....good for you....

I already said I had exageratted a bit on the Colt 45s to make a point. Still been watching the Stros since the 60s...you?????????????

If you don't like posts and sometimes rants, don't read em....now why don't you go to a corner light a camp fire and sing cumbayaa, you panzy !!

Get some passion and care about the stros, and quit criticizing others for caring.....

If Pete Munro was not pitching in game 2 of the NLCS, where would he be? Sitting in front of a TV set waiting for his next Triple A contract.

And to think, Jose Lima beat the Cardinals. Life is funny.

    Interesting point.....

If we win tomorrow that would be a major upset...maybe we can outscore them.

I think we really need to win tomorrow or it will be really tough....

we scored enough runs tonight to win a normal game.

    The Offense still looks great.

Now, if only the pitching can stand up to the punishment.
