How many games will he let Qualls throw away? Pun intended. I've had it with this. He changed the entire complexion of game 4 vs. Atlanta, and Garner did nothing. He almost ruined game 5 too. Now he has blown it against the best team in baseball.
You know, had Garner left Backe in, and Rolen got a hit, he'd get sh*t from you guys as well. It's just the Chad Qualls blows.
well it's high scoring like we expected. with our bullpen going the rest of the way (not that backe wasn't coming out after the 5th anyway) expect it to get worse. beltran needs to add a few more homers before this game is over.
Why not try Wheeler? Someone other than Qualls he has been terrible. At least Williams looks hittable...GO STROS !!! DD

agree with your first statement. but Qualls did not suck in Game 5 vs Braves. Gotta give the hitters on oppsoing teams a little credit sometimes. Qualls has been pretty good in the playoffs IMO.
Some of you people need to chill the F out. Backe was damn close to 100 pitches already. He's usually been going 5-6 innings all year since he became a starter...rarely if ever going above 100. Taking backe out was NOT a bad decision. Bringing in Qualls...maybe. We gotta get the bats going again now.
Not I. I don't watch baseball, except the playoffs. It only took me 2/3's of inning 6 of game 4 vs. Atlanta to realize Qualls can't take the heat. He is absolutely terrible.
DD, Qualls just had a bad game in Game 4. He was pretty good in the other games. and he was reliable down the stretch of the season might be saving wheeler for Tomorrow.
JB, The last two times Qualls came in, he's given up a 3-run homer, and a 1 run single to the first guy he's faced. Suuuuuuuucks.
