What kind of crappy set is that in the booth? A particle board bookshelf with a couple of baseball hats on it?

and then both strike out with the breaking ball.

damn, williams has retired 9 in a row? odd considering he's nearly been upper-decked twice in foul territory.

we gotta get the bats started again for backe because he won't hold them off forever.

Pujols is a freak. He is fooled by the breaker and still fouls the ball into the upperdeck down the left field line.

    WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!

Backe looked a tad bit shaky to me at first, but DAMN he is kicking freaking ass! Waita go Backe!

    Good AB by Bagwell.

Lance needs to make up for giving up that run.

He's actually pitching a REALLY good game. Berkman F'd that one play up, and he's given up one HR to Albert Freakin Pujols. Outside of that, great game so far

I'm currently in Boston and sure the Red Sox-Yankees game is on FOX, but I'm pretty hacked off to find out that the intensely dramatic Celtics-Pistons preseason game is on FOX SPORTS NET over the Astros-Cardinals. So the 'Stros are not even on TV here... I'd actually think Boston fans would complain about that to be honest.

does it seem weird to be talking to a manager during a playoff game like they're doing with la russa? i would think he wouldn't wanna do that.

dammit berkman. at least it wasn't 2.
