I just hired a guy who helped design the next gen Game Cube. You guys are on crack if you think they are going away. DD
Gosh. Who should I believe? The game expert in-the-know or the ignorant Nintendo hater? Hmmm... Decisions... decisions...
i've owned all 3 systems and currently have the x-box and ps2. sold my gamecube after beating metroid prime and also because i wanted to get rid of one of the 3. just happened to have the least amount of nintendo games. personally the x-box is my easy number 1. simple reason is because if a game is on all 3 i always go with the x-box version. it looks better, i love the controller s(never thought i'd find something better than the dual shock) and it's got the hard-drive. i'll also never get rid of something that's going to have halo 2 coming around the corner. btw anyone played dead or alive xtreme beach volleyball yet? who cares that it's practically virtual barbie with a mix of volleyball, those graphics are freaking amazing. as far as ps2, it's got tons of $20 greatest hits games( final fantasy, twisted metal black) and by far the best choice for role-playing games. i couldn't get rid of that one either. then comes the gamecube. it's definitely more powerful than ps2 but the lack of serious 3rd party support hurts so much. it does have arguably the greatest single player game i've ever played in metroid prime but after i beat it nothing else really made me think about holding onto it. as far as the topic goes nintendo is still too strong to be kicked out of the game altogether.
Next Gen Gamecube huh? Amazing how the stores are now offering $50 gift certificates if you buy a Gamecube, tells me nobody is buying one and they need to push them out the door. Target and a few others are offering this. For all the Resident Evil fans it will be coming to the X-box and for all you Gamebody advance fans the light underneath version will be released sometime next month. Nintendo was force to add this because many tried the do it yourself way and royally screwed up many units making it very difficult to fix, They figured a warranty problem issue was more of a headache than just adding the light!
