Significantly better rebounder, defender and finisher in the paint then Ryan Anderson. Same size, more athletic, younger and healthier as well. Not as good of a shooter, but still a very effective stretch 4. Takes and makes high volume 3's. He's underrated. If we could S&T for him with our NG's we should be all over it. He's a perfect Anderson replacement.
They wouldn't do that.. They are rebuilding, they drafted their stretch 4 of the future in the draft. They likely will pass on resigning Miortic as well. We could try to S&T our NG contracts with a couple of 2nd's for Miortic. Then use a 1st to dump Anderson to another team later.
nope. They are likely to pass on resigning him only if he gets a lot of money. Unfortunately at this point there aren't many teams that can offer him more than 12 per and the Rockets aren't one of them. The Bulls have no need of the unguranteed contracts since they have plenty of capspace left and the seconds is too poor a value for Mirotic. If there's someone though who can throw a first at them maybe they will do a s+t.
whats his market value ? Ive been following this guy, him and patterson are players I liked at the 4 for rockets, İlyasova kinda but not really Y'all think he would come for BAE or whatever we can offer ?? he would be solid fit, if we had to move anderson or he can be a backup
Probably around 12-15 mill per bro. Lol. We'd be lucky to get him with our 11 million NG S&T deal, he's not signing for anything close to BAE. Something we could do is trade for Diaw. His 7.5 mill contract would allow us to flip him for 13 million in salary. Taylor, Quarterman, Long, Kelly + 2nd for Diaw Then trade Diaw for Mirotic (S&T 4/55 million) That could also work for any other player of free agent with a starting salary of 13 million.
If Patterson just got a 16x3, i don't really expect Mirotic to get more than him tbh...personally i'd take Pat every day over Mirotic.
Anyone who thinks Mirotic is a better player than Anderson, probably didn't follow the Bulls all that much.
AFAIC, would be an awesome addition if we strike out on Melo. The guy is allegedly working hard in the offseason to get into shape, which has been a criticism he's faced. He hasn't been in NBA shape, and that seems to have resulted in him having wildly better numbers in the second half of each season vs first. I would bet on this guy. He could be better than Ryno next season, even though he hasn't been in the past.
He hasn't played as many minutes. Ryan Anderson's first three seasons weren't good. He blew up his fourth season by DH12's side. But yes, I think he is not going to be a scorer like Anderson in New Orleans but he should be much cheaper.
