NIKE PULLS DISAPPEARING ACT ON JORDAN CRAWFORD'S DUNK ON LEBRON Tuesday, July 7, 2009, 08:13 PM Xavier guard Jordan Crawford dunked on LeBron James. It happened. There were plenty in attendance who witnessed and confirmed the incident. It was ugly. In fact, the incident was so nasty that the evidence was confiscated. Nike basketball senior director Lynn Merritt took tapes from two photographers –- one being freelancer Ryan Miller -- filming Monday night’s games in which James played with the college players for the LeBron James Skills Academy. Miller had been filming for about 15 minutes -- including footage of the high school players -- and was approached almost immediately after Crawford’s dunk over The King. "The worst part is I'm not even sure I had the shot of the dunk," Miller said. "They might have taken it for no reason." The dunk still hasn't appeared on YouTube, either. So if anyone has the footage, please e-mail me at jngoodman@aol.com. Just don't send it to Nike. 0 (0 Ratings) Must Be logged in to bookmark content. http://community.foxsports.com/good...earing_act_on_jordan_crawfords_dunk_on_lebron
<strike>Nike</strike> LeBron Confiscates Video of Dunk on Lebron http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basket...on-by-Xavier-player-confisca?urn=ncaab,175293
Was there any agreement beforehand that video of the game could be freely taken and posted online? I could see them banning the video, regardless of LeBron getting dunked on.
Unbelievable. Oh well, the story has leaked out anyways. So now, instead of him just being dunked on (like pretty much every NBA player has), LeBron comes off looking like a spoiled baby again.
Lebron strikes me as a pampered athlete who does not have a winning character or personality. The Cavs organization and his sponsors are terrified of offending him. He's not unlike the coddled, crybaby Euros (and Yi Jianlian, who cannot back up his media hype on the court because he is awful) who have been holding lottery teams by the balls with their selfish demands. I wouldn't trust handing the keys to a franchise to him because of eerie parallels with Alex Rodriguez. This isn't hate; rather, I express my preference for athletes with a little more personability and character like Shaq, Chuck, Pierce. My respect is of no consequence but I respect them a lot more. Even Kobe's grown on me a lot--he breathes basketball and does not give a flip about what people think of him.
I don't know. He strikes me kind of as a heel from professional wrestling--enjoying being the bad guy. His early attempts post-Shaq to lead his team were laughable but he's seemed to man up and take responsibility for his play.
Does not compute: != Everything he does seems forced and staged, as you said... much like professional wrestling.
